Have smaller dooryway sites targeted around your main site. Think about it, every niche has at least 4 good solid side doors. I will give you an example let’s focus on the Entrepreneur niche and I will dig a little deeper to explain this further.

It seems to me that Search engines are spending more time crawling important information on the site and the most important pages as apposed to crawling and indexing less important pages?

Real Time search has been a major focus of many startups and search giants such as Bing and Google. Twitter, Facebook, blogs, Podcasts, YouTube Videos, and Flickr all have taken the user generated content to a whole new level. This has put a lot of pressure on the search engine giants to efficiently track/index content for their users. But, the rate of content generation is so overwhelming that real-time social search engines make more sense than the traditional methods of searching for information.

Too much time is often spent about the new features the various major search engines roll out or the latest deals they cut. Here at Search Engine Land, we can be as guilty of that as anyone. To correct it, I’ll be spending more and more time highlighting poor quality search results that I encounter, in hopes of nudging the industry to improve things.
