Upload Any File to Google Docs: A Kind of Google Drive?

Google announced that they plan to add the capability of uploading any file to Google Docs storage. This is supposed to be rolled out over the next week, and you get 1 GB for free (more if you pay), with a single file being limited to 250 MB. Google says “This makes it easy to backup more of your key files online, from large graphics and raw photos to unedited home videos taken on your smartphone.” Searching across upload documents should be possible as well, according to the post.

Google's Matt Cutts recently suggested that the speed of a web page may soon get more attention in Google's ranking algorithm. It seems that Google focuses on fast websites to make the searching experience better.

After experiencing what it called a “highly sophisticated and targeted attack” in China, Google told the largest Internet market in the world to take a hike this week. According to The Official Google Blog, the cyber attack targeted Google’s corporate infrastructure, and the primary objective of the attackers was “accessing the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists.” Wired reported that more than 30 other large companies were also targeted in the attack.
