I have read many articles and ebooks related to backlink building but didn't get good results. Some said do Link Exchange but this is a lengthy and time taking process. Writting articles and get backlinks from them.. Well i never submit any article yet to any directory and i am completely newbie to it also don't know how to write good article but i have good writing skills.

Is there any proven way where i can generate backlinks with few effort. Can directory subbmissions helps in increasing backlink or PR.

Need a little guide to develop links. Please guide me as a newbie.

Ok first of all link exchange is not considered good for long term results. Having said this there is nothing wrong with a few quality link exchanges, but never go to far into it. Ratther concentrate on 3 way exchanges if possible or even better 1 way link building.

For 3 way exchanges, you simply find a site that you want to have your link on and ask if the site owner will allow you to place his link on another one of your sites in exchange. For 1 way link building it really is any type of link you can find that which sites will link to you.

You can generate this through bookmarking your own pages through social bookmarking sites, submitting your articles to top article submission sites, remember to place the link in the articles pointing to your main site. Directory submission is only good for PR if your submitting to yahoo or dmoz etc, quality directories. I don't recommend submitting to any directory unless they are quality.

You can also join some forums and leave your signature links behind. There are many other ways to generate links but this is a good starting point!

If I need good links to one of my niche suppose medical equipment so to get a backlinks from article subbmission i should write a good quality article and submit it to these directories with the link pointing to my niche? and how much will it take to build links?

Try if you can to find medicle article sites that allow your article on there. If that proves to be difficult also submit article to general article sites and inside medical categories. Make sure your article is not self promotion and is about the industry in general. You can post between 1-3 links in your article depending on the sites terms.

I also recommend you do another promotional article, called a Press Release and also submit this to top press release sites. Use also PRWeb

If you want to get quality backlinks with less effort, it won't happen. Being a SEO guru spends more time to do quality backlink building. Link exchange is not really guaranteed unless you are lucky to find someone with a high PR. Link building to Web 2.0 properties like Squidoo and Hubpages have high priority and they have more traffic than regular websites. Directory submissions are possible but it takes months to effect your traffic and number of backlinks. Quality backlinks need more effort rather than less effort. Only for those who are doing BH will have less effort, and it's illegal and unfriendly to search engines.

We should read an article or posts in making link building so that more clients will understand. We really need to improve PR in some link building.
