Say hello to the new generation of leadership at Yahoo! His name is Scott Thompson.

Does the name sound familiar? It might, because Scott Thompson was once the president of PayPal. Part of the reason why Yahoo decided to snatch up this guy in the first place was that they say he was responsible (at least in part) for doubling PayPal's active user base from 50 million to 104 million. That's a pretty big deal, especially since Yahoo's user base is probably going in the other direction.

On the financial side, Yahoo saw a 5 percent decline for its overall revenue in the third quarter 2011 (compared to the same time the year before) to $1.1 billion. Sadly, the net earnings dropped a much larger 26 percent year-over-year to $396 million. That's not good and the financial savviness of Thompson could turn that ship around. At least, that's what they hope.

According to Search Engine Watch, the focus is to "quickly evaluate its sprawling products and kick them into shape to boost appeal to suitors and investors." Thompson says that they need to balance "value between consumer experience and the advertisers."

Yes, it's true that Yahoo is still relevant in some parts of the world, but Thompson certainly has a huge task ahead of him. If you were hired as the new CEO of Yahoo, what would be your strategy moving forward?

Yesterday, it was already set that me and my friend will going to have a joint business of our own, and that is related to the internet. This is what I call a link building service.

I thought that my plan was only a mystery since my dream business is to be implemented months ago. But this is already for real guys. I'm totally blessed and I'm thrilled with excitement. If I have already launched this business earlier than now, can I market this business using online marketing?

I would say yes! But how can we market this business online?

* E-commerce for my link building are not possible. Link buiilding services don't have any products but only services. We can make a simple WordPress blog of it about the events happening in our link building service business.

* Use huge ad networks like Google Adsense, Adbrite, CasaleMedia, Tribal Fusion and so on to keep our blog alive and to gain more revenue.

* Purchase high quality SEO services from top ranked individuals like GSeo and other companies at a reasonable price.

All business like my link building service can be used for online marketing and will earn lots of revenue from it. By the way, link building services are fast growing because of the greater demand of those who like to boost their website's traffic and backlinks. This is going to be big guys! I hope the customers and orders will be flowing very soon!Laughing

A Business To Start With SEO

I would like to inform everyone that I have finally decided what my business will be. It's being complicated in the first place on the last week of 2009, of what I want to start. Will I start a forum of my own? A microblog? A social bookmark? Or an eCommerce website? We'll the thing is, I like all of them.

But when it comes to SEO, forums is the best target to start with. But I have to say that I'm running out of funds already because of less clients. So I have my own blog, which is known as Bogartkick.com. It is just a normal WP blog of mine, but I have planned to make something interesting.

So what comes into my mind, is that I can use my own SEO services which I have the guts and strength to do it. I can do forum posting, web submissions, link wheel and do-follow blog commenting as well. So I decided to put up a cheap service page of my own which I have a small team already waiting for orders, and it's here.

Then I implement my own affiliate program, which anyone can give me a client that pays any of my package, that referrer will gain 10% to 15% commission on every purchase of our services. It is a good option for me, to attract more affiliates to earn with me on every purchase of service.

Then here comes my favorite part, the forums. I should have installed BBPress on my WP blog, but thanks to the answers on Digitalpoint I have question, SimplePress is easy and the best to start. So I have no other choice but to download and install SimplePress in my WP blog. And there you have it, I have my own forum in my own blog. Woohoo!

Right now it's still not yet finished but soon it will be. You can promote your signature here if you want on every post, as my forum is very similar to Digitalpoint forums. For the revenue, I use TrafficRevenue which I have slide up ads on it below.

So now I have a blog, service, affiliate and forum in just one domain. This is a good business to start with. There are more developments to come when I will do SEO for my own blog.

2010 would be great enough for me to start a business!

Hello guys. Happy New Year to all! I am so happy that we are now in the new decade and it is a new beginning for us. A journey which I can start thinking to start my own business as an entrepreneur. We'll, me and my friends discussed with each other about planning a partnership business of our own. But we need to choose the best in the market today.

Social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube are fast growing sites ever, so that's what we are planning to. But they are too competitive in the market and in the SERPS right now. But still, the important thing for me and for my friends is the unique visitors everyday. We don't care if our site is not on the top 100 pages, but traffic is the basis.

Why? We have Google Adsense of course. We can attach our Google Adsense ads in our social media site, of course it's a social networking site like Facebook and MySpace. The reason we need traffic is to increase the revenue sharing of our Google Adsense ads. We already know that social media is a fast growing business, but there are still lots of alternatives out there like forums, microblog, classified ad site or eCommerce.

So it really depends on our investment to create our own social media business. We have to be smart enough to create our own business, as well as to entertain and attract visitors as well if you want to be a successful entrepreneur someday. It's really worth to learn and to take risk of creating your business, because the more you do it, the more you learn how business is created from scratch to finish.

Can you consider spend yourself a vacation across the country without bringing your own map? It is hard enough to find your way in some places with a map. How hard would it be if you tried this adventure without one? Yet, this is exactly what people do every single day in the online world. They tried to build their own businesses online without having a road map to success.

1. Choose a targeted market

The biggest mistake most people make when starting a business is that they choose a product and then try to find people who want to buy it. If that is the direction you are starting from on your journey, then you are going the opposite direction from your destination.

Wise businesses operate from a different concept. They pick a market first, and then they pick a product those people are searching for. In other words, instead of trying to find leads to sell their product to, they find targeted leads and then ask them what they are wanting to buy.

2. Create your own product

Next, you need to develop a product or service for this market. Don't just jump on the bandwagon of affiliate programs when you come to this step.

3. Create a USP

Create a Unique Selling Position for your product or service. Too many companies are just trying to be competitive with other companies online. You cannot be just like the next guy and expect to make a profit in a global economy. Just going to the next guy's web site to order is too easy for your customers.

4. Pick a Domain Name and Hosting Service

The next step is to pick a domain name that describes your company, USP, and offer. Try to keep them as short and descriptive about your business as possible. Avoid using dashes or misspellings of your product. Both of these things will cause people to leave out part of your domain if they type it in. Someone else will be getting free traffic that you worked hard to obtain.

5. Develop a Customer Friendly Site

The next step in the process is to develop your web site and put it up for the world to see. If you are planning to own a full-time internet business, I recommend that you learn how to design the site yourself using one of dozens of programs which are readily available at any software store.
