Plagiarism has started to develop your mind when you are in the classroom trying to copy your classmate's answer, or to copy notes from your classmate. The more you do that in your school from elementary to high school, the more you get worse in copying other's answers in your college term.

When you are in your professional stage, you may begin to apply it by copying the contents of the book of the original author, especially the title of the book itself and to sell it to others and making money, pretending that you are the real author of the book.

The same goes through in the internet, as articles and blog posts existed in various websites are copied in your website or blog and to declare that you are the real author of the article or blog post. E-books can also be plagiarized, where the fraud author will download your e-book and to change everything with your name as the author and sell it at a higher profitable price to your customers. This will become a huge effect to the original author that through his hard effort and someone just stole his content, it's unfair.

If the original authors found out that you are just copying their contents without authorization, they might file you a case of plagiarism. It includes damages that you feel frustrated when the fraud one just copy the contents of your book and sell it to others for profit that must be paid, and a possible imprisonment of a maximum of 10 years just to become a fraud author.

So if you're attempting to do it, better not do it because we know that spending your time behind bars is just making your life very difficult. Plagiarizing other's books, e-books, articles and blog posts are simply not good and it's against the law. So you have to be careful when you have to attempt it. The only thing that we can play it safe is through being an original author to ourselves, that we create our own article and e-book through our own will, not to copy others, as being unique will bring you back rewards.

Olga Timofeeva Actually, I'm trying to find ways to make my site free from being copy pasted using Javascript. I can also add a threating message to those who want to copy my articles and blog posts or even add an image "Page Protected by CopyScape". Thanks for posting about this Emily, and they would soon realize that being a fraud is a bad way of treating other's material, and they have no right to do it.

Dylan Haddock It is a very polarized debate in the community about whether or not to respect copyright laws. I choose to not use any pirated items if I know. I try to practice asteya, or non-stealing, from Yoga.
